A lot of people asking me why do I fast? 🙈
⠀
There are a lot of reasons for it.😍
Let me explain a few of them.
⠀
1️⃣Fasting increases insulin sensitivity and increases adiponectin levels. Adiponectin is a protein hormone which is involving in the fatty acid breakdown. With these two hormonal factors, your body starts using fat for energy. Moreover, it will continue well after a fast is completed.
⠀
2️⃣Fasting improves digestion. Our digestion system works much longer after we had any food. Fasting allowed your gastrointestinal tract to relax for a bit and do some cleaning job. The longer you fast the cleaner your GI tract is going to be. Nay, fasting improves the contraction of GI muscle, which helps with absorption and better bowel movement quality.
⠀
3️⃣Fasting improves brain 🧠function (memory and cognition). Several studies have found that fasting could have a powerful effect on brain health and even preventing neurodegenerative disorders.
⠀
4️⃣Fasting increases Growth Hormone Secretion, Which Is Vital for Growth, Metabolism, Weight Loss and Muscle Strength. 🤸♂️
That is only a part of the benefits of fasting.
⠀
In the USA a lot of top doctors👨⚕️ and coaches do short-term fasting either every day (14-18 hours - intermittent fasting) or once-twice a week 24-36 hours.
⠀
Just try it. It is not as scary as a lot of people think.
⠀
You can start from 24 hours. For example, have your dinner at 7-8 pm, drink only pure water for the next day till the same time 7-8 pm. Then drink some vegetable juice or make some green smoothly and you will feel the difference.
⠀
And if you have any questions feel free to ask.
